Christmas Cake Decorating for Beginners

Start date: Sat 30th November & Sun 1st December 2019 
Duration: 2 day workshop 
Class time: 10.00 – 16.30

Students will learn how to cover an 8" round fruit cake with marzipan and sugarpaste to achieve a smooth professional finish. Expert guidance will be given on decorative techniques to include swags & frills, crimp & emboss to add texture, paint with metallic colours,simple piping, use of cutters & templates to create an applique design, and unwired Christmas roses.

Students will be introduced to a range of  basic sugarcraft equipment and its uses. 

Dark traditional fruit cakes and all equipment will be provided, and students will leave the course with a stunning Christmas cake to share with family & friends.

Lunch is also inclusive of the cost of the course.
